Welcome to a Peaceful Oasis in a Medieval Italian Village
A Traditional Tuscan Home
Nestled in a quiet piazza 'Il Mirtillo' is one of ten houses that make up this ancient square, the oldest part of Chianni village. The Church of San Donato, dominates the piazza and has origins dating back to the 13th century. The house dating back to around 17th century, has maintained it's character of wooden beams, tiled floors and ceilings. The decor is true to it's Tuscan origins of painted plaster walls in traditional colours.

Guests have the whole house to themselves, which consists of a large kitchen/dinner with seating/lounge area. The house has two bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other two single beds that can be made into a double bed if required. There is a cot and a further single bed that can be placed in the lounge area. The house has modern appliances, central heating and an air conditioning unit on the landing. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower with a low level toilet and bidet.

Chianni is a medieval town with Etruscan origins. The village has two café/bars, two mini-markets, a butchers, a flower shop and a Tabacchi. A small hardware store and a post office. along with a gift shop and a pasta shop selling delicious handmade pasta can also be found. A cash point (bankomat) can be found next to the tourist information office in the main square of the village. The village has three good restaurants, with many others a short drive away.

I moved to Italy from England a while ago. I have a passion for photography and the rolling Tuscan hills are a dream come true to any photographer. I live in the next Village of Rivalto, about 1.5 km away (a five minute drive away) and will personally meet and greet you upon arrival to hand over the keys help you familiarise yourself with the house and the village.
